What grew from Miyako de IT
This page documents collaborations and outcomes created through Kyoto IT community Miyako de IT. Since its founding in February 2019, 7 years and 165 events have expanded beyond individual learning into work with 14 companies, universities, government bodies, temples, and other organizations.

HACK+2023 Grand Prize
NEMTUS, hackathon organizer
A team formed by people who met at a 2018 AI event developed a blood-donation support DApp and won the grand prize. The team did not originate in Miyako de IT.
Miyako de IT’s role: Introduced the activity after the award and connected it to follow-on programs.
What comes next: Reinvested the prize money in the independently organized UNKNOWN QUEST hackathon.
