Learning why quantum computing matters
The first part addressed why quantum computing attracts attention, how it differs from classical computing, and how concepts from quantum mechanics relate to computation.
Although the phrase quantum computer is increasingly familiar, the actual differences from conventional systems remain difficult to explain. The lecture provided IT engineers with an initial map of the field without pretending that its specialist foundations are simple.
Tea and yoga between technical sections
The two-hour program included two intervals for tea and yoga.

Returning attention to the body between abstract technical sections created a different learning rhythm. Combining emerging technology with a physical practice was one of the event's defining experiments.
Lessons from the first session
Quantum computing, like AI and Web3, can easily become a fashionable label. Understanding it requires contact with the underlying physics and with the differences between computational models.
The yoga intervals also suggested that a difficult subject can be taught in an atmosphere that allows participants to reset and continue calmly.
