Challenge before the collaboration
Taisho University opened its Faculty of Information Science in April 2026. The accompanying challenge was how to design meaningful connections between the university and the local technology community.
What we did
- 1Regularly changed themes across co-working study sessions, generative AI study groups, and craft-beer events
- 2Designed events where students and professional engineers could sit at the same table
- 3Opened university facilities as one of Kyoto’s technology-community bases
- 4Maintained promotion routes open to participants outside the university
Miyako de IT’s role
Event planning and operations
Recruitment of participants from outside the university, including working engineers
Facilitation connecting participants from inside and outside the institution
