Challenge before the collaboration
The industry-support organization wanted stronger contact with IT professionals across Kyoto Prefecture, but it was difficult to create a place where working engineers would keep gathering. The challenge was to design a self-sustaining engineer-led community rather than a one-off networking event.

Miyako de IT co-hosts the IT Engineer Networking Event in Kyoto at KOIN, inside the Kyoto Economic Center. Miyako de IT handles program planning and theme design, promotion and recruitment through connpass, on-site facilitation and speaker coordination, and post-event follow-up. What we did
- 1Co-hosted multiple editions of the IT Engineer Networking Event in Kyoto at KOIN
- 2Selected themes and speakers from a working engineer’s perspective and aligned them with participant interests
