A Kyoto meetup connecting Kansai tech communities

On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, Hajime Konagai will represent Miyako de IT at βKansai Tech Communities β Kyoto Community Meetup,β a Progate BAR lightning-talk and networking event at the Progate Kyoto Hackathon House.
The event brings together tech communities active in Kansai. It is organized by Progate with support from Miyako de IT, GDGoC Kyoto Univ, Kyoto Mokumoku, and Amateku.
Students and working professionals are welcome, including people who have not joined a tech community before and people who are just beginning to learn or are already building software.
Hajime Konagai will speak for Miyako de IT
Hajime Konagai will take the stage as a speaker from Miyako de IT. He has served as a moderator at Miyako de IT co-working sessions and has also presented at our quantum-computing study sessions.
The event is an opportunity to hear first-hand perspectives on participating in and running tech communities in Kansai. Please check the organizer's event page for the latest presentation title and program details.
Lightning talks followed by networking
The event has two parts. The lightning-talk session begins at 6:10 p.m., with community members and event participants sharing seven-minute talks about their activities and experiences.
The networking session begins at 7:25 p.m. Participants can ask speakers questions and talk with one another about topics such as study groups in Kyoto and which communities they may want to explore next.
