Bing traffic to a community site
A first-party GA4 measurement from Miyako de IT, with its limits stated.

Direct answer: Bing accounted for 68 organic sessions to Miyako de IT in the 90 days ending July 23, 2026, while Google accounted for 672. Bing was roughly one tenth of Google in this single-site measurement.
What we measured
On July 24, 2026, we mechanically aggregated GA4 data through the API, excluding the current day and using confirmed data through the previous day.
| Period | Date range | Bing organic sessions |
|---|---|---|
| Last 90 days | April 25–July 23, 2026 | 68 |
| Last 28 days | June 26–July 23, 2026 | 27 |
For the same 90-day period, Google organic search produced 672 sessions. Google remains the main source, but a continuing Bing audience is large enough not to ignore when the traffic is earned rather than bought.
Why Bing is worth including
Search does not end with Google. Bing has its own organic-search users and, as the measurement above shows, a continuing stream of visits. AI-mediated discovery also makes it useful to keep more than one search path in view.
Publishing and updating material for both Google and Bing is about avoiding missed paths, not about declaring either system better than the other.
What IndexNow does—and does not show
Miyako de IT has already adopted an operating practice that notifies IndexNow-supported search engines when articles are published or updated. This article does not measure whether IndexNow caused Bing traffic to increase. It records the traffic observed while that practice was in place.
IndexNow communicates that a URL has changed to participating search engines such as Bing, Yandex, and Seznam. It is not a promise of ranking or citation. Crawlability, readable text, accurate sitemaps, and internal links remain the underlying SEO work.
Google’s Indexing API is intended for JobPosting and BroadcastEvent uses, not ordinary Article submissions. Our practice therefore differs by system: keep sitemap dates accurate, use Search Console and internal links for Google, and use IndexNow for eligible search engines.
AI referrals are also observable
In the same 90-day period, 20 sessions referred from chatgpt.com were observed: 13 attributed to an AI assistant and 7 whose path could not be determined. This confirms that AI-mediated visits exist; it does not establish that IndexNow or Bing indexing caused them.
What a community site can do about Bing traffic
- Keep articles and event information available as crawlable text.
- Link related articles internally and notify IndexNow-supported search engines when material changes.
- Change sitemap dates only when content has actually changed.

A measurement, not a causal claim
The figures document one site during one period. They are useful for deciding what to observe next, not for claiming that a notification mechanism produced a ranking result.
Why publish small numbers
Miyako de IT has held events for seven years, with 163 events and 1,222 registered members. We publish results and limits together because a modest, reproducible measurement can still help another community operator understand an overlooked channel.
