Why build your own WordPress site when AI can write?

Generative AI has made drafting easier, but the owner still decides where information lives, how it reaches people, and who controls the data.

A platform account can disappear or change its rules. WordPress offers a long-established publishing foundation built around your own server, domain, and data.

The session therefore focused on the complete path from server contract to a public site, giving participants a foundation they could continue operating themselves.

Kokando is an active traditional townhouse in Nakagyo Ward. Learning on tatami with laptops in hand created a different atmosphere from a conventional seminar room.

The setting also suited people who normally worked remotely and wanted to make progress alongside others in Kyoto.

Frequently asked questions

Can I join without having used WordPress?

Yes. The first session was designed for beginners and progressed with the instructor in the room.

What did participants need to bring?

A laptop with internet access and its power adapter. A payment card was only needed for anyone choosing to contract a server.

Were there costs beyond the JPY 500 event fee?

Only participants choosing a server plan incurred its separate monthly fee.

Could someone attend only the first session?

Yes. Session one was designed to stand on its own, although the three-part sequence provided a fuller path.

Were late arrival and early departure allowed?

Yes. Participants could join for the portion that fit their schedule.
